Grammar. The past unreal conditional: inverted: inverted form

  1. Had I know she was agressive, i'd have gotten a divorced.
  2. Had I did'n't drive faster, i'd have prevented the accident.
  3. If I hadn't eaten cebiche ,i'd never have gotten sick.

E Gramamar Practice. Rewritethe following past unreal conditional sentences, using the inverted form.

1.- They would have lent her the money if she had asked.
  • They would have lent her the money if had she asked.
2.- If I had been debt free, I would have considered buying that house.
  • Had I been debt free, I would have considered buying that house.
3.- If the Carsons hadn't been able to support their son, he would have have had to find a part - time job.


  • Had Carsons not been able to support their son, he would have had to find a part-time job.
     
4.- Could you have gotten the car if they had't raised the price?


  • Could had you gotten the car if they hadn´t raised the price.

1.- I would never have gotten that espresso maker.
  • if I had seen the cost.
